Most wedding venues rent you a space for the day and send everyone off to hotels. The Sugar River Estate gives you both — a private event venue and a seven-bedroom house where your whole party stays the weekend. The two are priced separately: an event venue fee for exclusive use of the estate and grounds on your event day, and overnight lodging as a separate add-on. Because you also bring your own tent, caterer, and vendors, the event fee is the whole venue cost — not a deposit against a forced catering minimum.

Event use only — lodging is separate (below). This fee covers exclusive use of the grounds and getting-ready spaces for the event day (up to ~12 hours; events conclude by 10:00 PM, music off per town ordinance), on-grounds parking, and a pre-event walkthrough. Off-peak (November–April) by inquiry, typically 30–40% less; foliage dates (late September–mid October) are prime, so book early.
Rent the whole seven-bedroom estate for your party — accommodations for up to 16 overnight guests. Rates are dynamic by date and season: roughly $1,000–$2,000 / night à la carte (weekdays and off-season at the lower end, peak weekends toward the top), with a two-night minimum on event weekends (rehearsal night through the wedding night). Most venues can't offer this at all; here the celebration and the stay are under one roof. Overflow guests: several inns and B&Bs minutes away in Newport and New London.
